Home Repairs/HoneyDo List/Advice & Tips/etc.

Since we’re not going to Florida for a couple of months, I decided I needed a project to keep me occupied over the winter. Basement renovation to build the man cave!

It’s a walkout basement, so the one side is under the deck and a normal wall. The former owner had pegboard and this thin shiny whiteboard on it. I ripped that off and will drywall that. I sealed some mortar issues on the block wall and am in the process of framing and insulating that wall to put up drywall.

There’s an open area underneath the gas fireplace on the walkout wall that I’m trying to determine how to use. Maybe just drywall it in with a shelf for a TV or multiple shelves for a stereo and other objects.

Do people still buy stereos? Since PCs came out they've been my stereo. I have this beast in the garage, haven't even turned it on in years but sounded great

My parents had something very similar to this as well. It weighed as much as 14 elephants.

Just purchased a new auto - Subaru Outback. Asked where C D player is located (have couple hundred CDs). Uhhh, they're not included anymore - why not? People use their phones or Sirius for their music. Oh, I said. Looked at local electronics store, and nothing struck my fancy. Any thoughts? Moving into new home, and want to get it set up for surround sound....thanks in advance.

Quit buying hippie whips.

Probably has a granola dryer though.
