"Back on track after throttling Denver. I made a bet last year that they'd make the playoffs, and took it to double or nothing that they'd win 50 games this year. Ten wins through sixteen games puts them on pace for a 51-31 season."

:slappy:

you'd think Cleveland fans would know better.

Well, New Jersey just took care of Boston, putting them only 1 game behind us for the last playoffs spot.

So we must win tonight agaisnt Milwaukee or we're going to have a big struggle on our hands the last 6 games of the season.

The Cavs played really great tonight against Michael Redd and the Bucks. LeBron was stellar as usual with 40 pts. 10 boards and 10 assists. Plus I was really impressed with the energy they put forth on the defensive side of the ball for most of the game. They had a couple of lapses here and there and almost let the Bucks back in the game. But overall a very good performance but the next two games are must-wins against Orlando and New York just to help keep pace with New Jersey and Philly. Also they have a good chance to get that seventh seed back so they don't have to play Miami in the first round although playing the defending World Champs won't be much easier. Hopefully they can keep up the good work that they had today and can get on a little winning streak in this crucial part of the year.

A win on the road against Orlando tonight, looks like we're making the playoffs now :)
Man I sure hope so, but I would love to pass Philly and get in the 7 spot. Miami will put a hurtin to us, and Detroit doesnt score a whole lot of points so we might be able to contend with them. But lets take this one game at a time.

i think brendan malone was a big reason why we won that game against orlando.

When the magic put on their press in the second half and they cut the lead from 12 to 2 malone called time out. He set up a press breaker that led to many easy points and that pulled it away for the cavs

credit that win to coach malone and i have to say i like what ive seen in him so far and he is a far cheaper alternative to someone like flip saunders and phil jackson

Contend? Probably not

Detroit in playoff time when they'll play with some urgency will embrass Cleveland right now. Cleveland needs some playoff experience before they have any type of success. It won't happen right away. Look at Detroit or LA before Shaq left it took years of playoff failures before they figured it out.

I doubt Gilbert is worried about how much he had to pay the coach. He will do whatever he has to to make Lebron happy. If Lebron leaves Gilbert is going to lose most of his investment in the Cavs.

I guess I was just saying we should be able to play some close games with them and anything can happen especially with the guy we have on our side.
