How does work make you feel today?

So... from January 14, 2013 to May 31, 2017 I was employed with Valspar.
During the Acquisition process by Sherwin-Williams, it was determined by the FTC and the Canadian equivalent that my Division would have have to be divested.
Thus, as of June 1,2017, I now work for Axalta Coating Systems (fka DuPont Coatings).
No changes in job (except some software items now and in the future).
On top of that, we purchased a home on June 15. Therefore, June was a helluva month.
Then in July, I find myself traveling out of the States three out of four months (twice to Mexico, once to Canada).
It's been a ride!

Nothing like having to report to someone who has no fucking clue how to do he job I have to do. Should have stayed at my last company.

It's amazing how many times I've heard that in the last few months. Sincerely sorry to hear that you're in that situation.

I'm actually returning to teaching next month. The benefits-paying for my Masters, 100% of my health and dental, plus adding to my state pension-were too great to ignore.

What grade and courses are you teaching in the Fall? Hope it works out well.

... that feeling when you install a new SSL certificate and a bunch of OS updates to your Exchange server, and your sphincter puckers when you reboot and it's sitting on a black screen for two minutes longer than it normally should.

Exchange administration is Russian Roulette. 1 in 6 chance you blow the fucking thing up.

Don't touch it. Don't even look at it!

When you fuck up and don't send me all the data don't try to blame it on me for not processing and including all the data when there isn't anything obviously missing! If these reports are so damn important then you need to start acting like it and handle the data like it matters on your end, because I'm doing that on my end. This is a near weekly occurrence, which is what really pisses me off.

tired.

today is day 40-something of consecutive 12 hour shifts worked without any time off.

and as of now, don't know when/if we'll get any days off.

update:
Sunday night was day 49 straight without a day off.
we worked 14 hours that night.
Monday night we worked 13, then had to take a two hour training course.

around noon on Tuesday (before i went to sleep), we were told we were no longer on this project. took a quick nap for a couple hours, then packed up and drove home.

was home for about 18 hours when i got the call to come back out to Tejas and we're back on the site.

between the drive and a 14 hour shift, was up for just over 30 hours.

now we are shut down due to this hurricane, but can't geaux home yet because they don't decide if we working or not until the last possible minute.
