Holy cow! OSU actually called a "snow day" for ("non-essential") staff and faculty along with the students, and was even so good as to let us know at 6 pm tonight. The change.org petition worked! Another win for President Drake in my book.

I was in grad school in Athens when they closed school for snow for a couple of days. It wasn't very cold, just snow. I walked to my office from my apartment and don't recall it being terrible. I think it was winter of '94 maybe? Suffice it to say, for those of us who went into the office, we just ended up doing what everyone else was doing... And as they say, when in Athens, do as Athenians... I think I'm just starting to sober up from that bender.

Like I'm going to put some douchebags in a sack and drown some motherfuckers in a shallow Creek.

So, been shorthanded lately. Girl in my groups daughter has additionally had some health issues, pretty serious so she's been.out a lot.

So I've been deeper into code than I usually am.

Some fucking douchenozzle loses his shit today about how.the code is all wrong. My lead BA rips his head off and tells him it's what he asked for.

Gets me on a call, go through it... And you know... It's funny. "And" doesn't mean the same thing as "or" you fucking dolt.

You tell my guys "or" you get or. This has been 2 days of this dickless fucknut complaining because he can't speak English. (He's American it's not a translation issue)

Female soldiers reinforcing negative stereotypes... i dont know whether to blame them or leadership or both... but they had these mechanics doing secretary deskwork since tech school.
Now im supposed to teach them how to work on a hydraulic monster ?
On one hand, it's overtly typical of their superiors.
On another, they seem like they would much rather be secretaries. No motivation. No desire to do anything.
Why did they even join Army?
It's a different military than I remember... then again, i was never Army and have worked with great Corps and Navy people since.

Interviewed for a position about a month ago. The last thing the interviewer told me was I would know one way or another within a couple of days where I stood and they wouldn’t leave me hanging. Two weeks later I sent an email confirming my interest in the position with a couple points on why me. Today on LinkedIn I saw they hired someone else.

Great way to learn your fate, even though I was 99% sure I wasn’t getting a call back. At least be professional and do what you say.
