I'm really just guessing here but I believe Nutt wanted an apology from the university for something. Ole Miss balked at that. Nutt decided a lawsuit against the university would be a solid option B. The lawsuit and what it encompassed coupled with an ongoing NCAA investigation, dug up some dirt that Ole Miss would rather stay buried. Said dirt came from Freeze's yard. Freeze is no more. He has ceased to be.

Yeah, this is in line with what I've read. FOI filings from Nutt's legals turned it up and, well...

Convienent that Ol Miss had a 'for cause' justification beyond the cheating, no? They should be writing Nutt a big fucking check this week.
