I've been going back and forth on this one, but which scenario would you go with?

1). An Ohio State team with previous losses to Youngstown State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Northwestern goes into the big house as heavy underdogs and knocks Michigan out of the BCS championship game. Losses the bowl game and finishes the year 8-5.

2). It's November and both the Buckeyes and the Trojans are both undefeated while everyone else has at least two losses. The Bucks lose a tough home game to Michigan on a last second field goal but still advanced to the Rose Bowl and went on to defeat a SC team that was hailed by ESPN as the best team of the century. The undisputed national title goes to us, but we get a constant earful from tsun for the next 10 months.

Undisputed national title or a defeat of Michigan?

I take the title and tell those scUM fans to fuck off. I would be too busy going shopping for all my new OSU National Champions gear to worry what they think.

think back to the '03 Season. Those fucks knocked us out of the title game. We beat K-State and I was still happy as could be. BCS bowl victories are cool.

This has been discussed ad nasuem in other threads for years...
Can't say I've seen this hypothetical, where the UM loss includes a NC.

I'll take that every year, but I don't think that will ever happen.

We were indeed talking about that the beginning of last season because it popped up again just before The Game last year when the teams were #1 and #2. It's been talked about in several other threads way back when. And it'll get brought up again and again...have at it.

I'd say #2, however, wouldn't a loss in the bowl game (in scenario 1) make the record 8-5??
