I'm sorry, but you can't have more toilet paper

He said people have incessantly called his cellphone, posted his address online and sent pizzas to his home. His inbox was flooded with ugly messages, he said. One email he shared with The Times said: “Your behavior is probably going to end up with someone killing you and your wife and your children.”

Now Mr. Colvin is facing consequences. On Sunday, Amazon and eBay suspended him as a seller, which is how he has made his living for years. The company where he rented a storage unit kicked him out. And the Tennessee attorney general’s office sent him a cease-and-desist letter and opened an investigation.

price gougers and looters deserve the same comeuppance. it's not just profiting off of someone else's misfortune; it's causing someone else's misfortune.

I know that all too well. We have nurses giving injections, and mentally ill clients who aren't great at hygiene, and we're rationing wipes and sanitizer because they're on back order.

I’m not eating Kale or Quinona if I’m going to die soon.

I don't want to have to do it, but I'd be interested how long we could live on the food that we have in the freezer and pantry if there was a lockdown. We already thawed out a corned beef for Tuesday and beef roast for italian beef sandwiches yesterday. Meat would run out first, but I bet we could eat well for a couple months as long as the utilities stay on.

My wife passed on the Charmin TP at Costco right when the hoarding started and regrets it. We currently have 9 rolls left in the house.

Assuming there's no loss of electricity, I estimate I have about 100,000 calories in the house and 10 gallons of water. If I lose electricity, that drops by somewhere between a third and a half.

As the stockpile in the freezer dwindles, replace the empty volume with freezer bags or Tupperware full of extra ice cubes.

You don’t want to run out of ice if you decide to drink yourself to death.

We haven’t even thought about the TP issue and it’s just bizarre to me that it’s even discussed.

So, help me out, we have 25 rolls for 3 of us currently and I haven’t even tried to buy more. Am I not taking this shit, and my own shit, seriously enough?

I mean, how does my supply stack up? Should I be hunting for more? This all seems insane to me.

That should last 3 people quite a while (at least 2 months) unless you get dysentery
