    Committed to: Ohio State
    247Sports Composite: 3-star | 0.8842 | No. 414 Overall | No. 22 OG
Recruiting summary: A 6-foot-5.5, 305-pound guard out of Beech Grove High School in Beech Grove, Ind., Fryar committed to the Buckeyes over fellow finalists Indiana, Oregon and Penn State. He holds 20 reported offers overall. His primary recruiter at Ohio State was offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson, while offensive line coach Greg Studrawa also assisted in his recruitment. He is the 18th commitment for the Buckeyes in the 2020 recruiting cycle. At the Opening Regional in Ohio, he posted a 5.50 40-yard dash, a 4.78 short shuttle, a 22.4-inch vertical and a 39-foot Power Ball throw, giving him a SPARQ rating of 76.92.
247Sports Evaluation: Has a big body and long arms, but athletic lower body. Rare prospect as far as having the body type and the skills to play almost any spot along the offensive line. Good athlete with a multi-sport background and flexible/skilled enough to be an outstanding high school punter as well. Bends well, gets good leverage and plays with good balance in pass protection. Solid punch and power, but can still get stronger. Has the bend to get leverage, but can play lower with more consistency. Can be a swing guy in college who plays multiple spots, but most familiar position currently as center and he offers great long-term potential there and could play beyond college after starting several years at a Power 5 program. – 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu
NFL Draft projection: 4-7 Round (Day 3)

Josh Fryar only played in 10 games last season because of a first-round exit in the postseason, but for going 6-4, his Beech Grove team ran through the teams it defeated. But one team, Scecina Memorial, the school where Indiana three-wide receiver David Baker plays, defeated Beech Grove and also made a run to the Class 2A regional championship game.

First Game: Indianapolis Lutheran, Aug. 23

Game to Watch: Scecina Memorial, Sept. 13
