Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Nov 5th, Noon ET, BTN (ovflw for some)

No reason not to win this game by 40+ points. IU's defense is virtually non-existant...112th in total defense and 114th in scoring defense. In the last four games, they've given up an average of 51 points per game (41 to Illinois, 59 to Wisconsin, 45 to Iowa, and 59 to Northwestern).

:yow2: This should be entertaining!

Some highlights of Indiana's season so far:

Gave up 59 points to Wisconsin....and Northwestern, 45 to Iowa.
Have not been shut out (mirable dictu!)
Only lost to Penn State 16-10
Lone win came against FCS South Carolina State
Every Big Ten team they've played so far not named Penn State has scored 40+
Their defense is #117 in total yards, #120 in rushing yards, #114 in points per game

My thoughts:

Penn State is a joke and may not win another game.
Indiana is statistically worse than Akron, and a man drowned in a river where the average depth was three feet.
Having said that, we'd better score more than 16 fucking points. :mad1:
Boom may rush for 100 yards...in the first quarter
Hyde may rush for 100 yards in the fourth quarter
Miller should be given at least 20 passing attempts. I'd say 30, but that sounds delusional.
Guiton needs to see the field for the entire fourth quarter, even if all he does is hand it to Hyde.

I would like to see Guiton in the third quarter and Taylor Graham in the fourth. Please!

Just wanna see Brax get some passing reps in the first half and get him out. I think we will pass more then people think. Mostly for the simple fact we know we can run on IU, and Brax needs to rep in live action.

I don't know about anybody else but, for the first time in a while I'm feeling real good about this home stretch....

I could see this game being close early. Coming out flat is something we definitely need to guard against. Indiana isn't completely inept offensively, and it's possible they get an early score and an early lead. I think though, by the end of the half, the difference in sheer athleticism on the lines will have us up by at least two touchdowns, if not more. From there it's just cosmetic.

What I would like to see though is our defense play inspired, and take any pressure at all off of our offense. Just let Braxton, Boom, and the line go out there and get comfortable and more experience playing together, while also letting us run whatever plays we want to get comfortable there as well. Then we can take off the fourth quarter and stay fresh for a very important November.

I think it all rests on our defense in this one...I think we are good enough to hold them out of the endzone, but if we come out flat off of our emotional high from this past weekend, then I can't blame them. What probably ends up happening is we look flat at times, but overall play well enough to make it look like a good win. Something around 38-10.

And NW'ern got to 59 on the first play of the 4th quarter, then took it easy on them the rest of the way. They could have scored 2 more TDs if they had wanted to run it up.

Indiana kicked star WR Belcher off the team. He led B1G in receiving yards last year...

Just days after being suspended for the Northwestern game following an unspecified violation of team rules, Indiana WR Damarlo Belcher's absence from the team has just been made permanent by head coach Kevin Wilson. In a statement released Monday afternoon, Wilson announced that Belcher had been dismissed from the team.
