and had all kinds of problems. I am going to send this to the customer support center, please evaluate and let me know what you think....

I just installed a new Kemper Cabinets in my kitchen. The Kemper MSRP price on my cabinets was well over $15,000. I do not know how you can justify that price when several of the cabinets were not square and required us to plane the edges to make them square. Some of the cabinets were too big/too small by over 1/4 inch and that is unacceptable. I was not impressed with the amount of left over glue, chips and general "dings" in the interior of the cabinets. If I wasn't under such a time crunch to have my kitchen replaced, I would have refused to install these cabinets. I went through Carter Lumber and they had problems with the order, they placed the order and I was told 4-6 weeks to get the cabinets, and after 5 weeks I called to check on them and Carter was told by Kemper that the order was not placed, even though Cater had order confirmation. Kemper also sent one cabinet that was hinged incorrectly even though the paper work clearly stated Right Hinge. I wanted to bring it to someone’s attention that your product is in my mind inferior, and I will NOT recommend the Kemper brand to anyone that I know. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

That's why you should go through Lowe's to get cabinets.

I bought Kraftmaid cabinets and found out that you can buy them at their warehouse every saturday up by Youngstown.

The $5000 that Lowe's quoted me cost me $1250 at the warehouse. They weren't damaged or anything. Just had to go up the night before and stay at a hotel.

I got "family and friends" discount from Carter, so i went through them, and i know several people that have Kemper cabinets and they are nice, but i just had a shitty experience.

Sounds like the "family and friends" discount wasn't worth it.

the cabinets are beautiful and now that i fixed them they are good, its just that i shouldn't have had to fix them first

BTW, aren't cabinets some of the most overpriced things out there besides diamonds?

You would be amazed at the cost of custom cabinets, built and installed by local people cost compared to Lowe/s et...

the cost for Lowe's was well over $5,000.00 delivered for my parnets. A local cabinet shop built custom cabinets all soils oak, not a piece for shit chipboard any where for $2,800.00 installed. Just call around and check before you run to a big box store.

it's called quality of life... who wants to wait till they're 50 to enjoy things... heck you may not make it to 50... enjoy the fruits of your labor... with an eye to the future as well... but enjoy it when you are at the top of your game, your life, your health...

Mental note... if I'm ever in the the cabinet selling business, don't call Dihard...

Anybody know where to pick up decent pergo flooring at cheap prices? I've got a place that needs it, and I'm not willing to put much money into it (it will be a rental unit after we move out in a couple of years... no sense in spending good money for another person to come in and destroy)...

Edit: and where to pickup some nice windows at decent prices as well (I've been tolkd to buy windows in the winter when their business is slow... has anybody purchased windows recently???)
