Iowa @ Ohio State, Tues 12/30 @ 1p ET, ESPN2/WatchESPN

This is a coaching problem as much as it is a player problem. Coach Matta needs to understand te gravity of the situation, call himself and the coaching team to account, and fix it.

They knew what he was when they signed on. If they play soft, bench them. If they won't play defense, bench them. They are excellent talents that need to be led.

He is an excellent coach and I think he will get it done.

I think a lot of the problems with the zone start with the issue that the inside is basically non-existent. Amir just can't seem to get it done, and I just can't figure out how that mental issue hasn't been overcome (because it is mental, he has the size and strength to be great inside if he wants to, we've seen flashes of it against good competition, just not so far this year). That results in crashing down and leaving someone wide open in a corner, which happens at an alarming rate every single game so far, especially against the better competition. If they aren't crashing down on an inside move, poor rotation gives up the corner 3, both things that should be fixable by coaching.
