ISO: 1 ticket to CFP National Championship

All tickets are on the phone. Scalping at the stadium may not work. I was able to get 2 through the athletic department, but a friend is using them. Cost was $475 per ticket.

Yeah, they were offering alumni tickets from $475 to $925; I didn't put in since I'm way at the end of the pecking order for season tickets and figured I wouldn't get any anyway. The $475 seat are probably in the end zone; but heck, they are still inside the stadium and the way they will be spacing them out nobody will be blocking your view, etc.

The Buckeyes are headed to New Orleans, LA to take on the Clemson Tigers in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 1, 2021. Due to COVID-19 local public safety capacity protocols, the limited allotment of tickets provided to Ohio State will be utilized for student-athlete families only and thus no tickets are available for purchase.
  • Ticket prices in Ohio State's allotment range from $475 - $925 each (including service charges). Each account holder may apply for up to 4 tickets.
  • You may apply for tickets in any price level available to you. However, if demand exceeds supply available at the price level you request, your card will automatically be charged for tickets at any lower price included in Ohio State’s allotment of tickets. If demand exceeds the allotment of tickets available, ticket orders will be fulfilled based on priority points and ticket requests may be denied.

$475 to $925 is a steal with what prices on stub hub are. I would buy them in 2 seconds if I could get for that right now

Wait until tomorrow. Especially single tickets. People get food poisoning, babysitters cancel, car trouble, work.... The list goes on and on. With the exception of the Rose Bowl I've always gotten tickets the day of for sold out events. Granted, not in the time of Covid. I think you might very well be able to get a single for under $900. Just be careful and smart. If the ppl have an extra they shouldn't be adverse to meeting you and going in together. Otherwise, meet at their home or work. If you're willing to only see half, you can still buy at halftime. Lots of options.

And, do ppl a favor--- If you figure out it's a scam, flag the post.

I fly in tomorrow and looking forward to the long weekend. Prices have come down some and I plan to scalp in. If not, I'll find a sports bar to watch it.

We're here too. Drove down yesterday. Spent the day looking at the stuff in South Beach then promptly left those lunatics for the hotel.

About tickets: considering the fact there's no tailgating, I do wonder how much scalping there'll be at the stadium. We've been talking about going if we can scoop up some singles near each other or something for a "reasonable" price. I've had good luck before on OfferUp and even the resale sites if it gets really close to the time of the event. One time we got lucky and a rich doctor had friends cancel....ended up with nice seats for a concert.

Tonight is probably the worst time to buy. So I've been spending time flagging scammers on Craigslist.

Discovered the team is staying at the Intercontinental. There's a watch party there, The Clevelander in South Beach (but the patients are running the asylum) and I'm sure there'll be a ton of people watching at the casino.

Please fill us in on any other info when/if you get it.
