Thousands watching the Ohio State University-Michigan game on television saw Michigan footballplayer Jabrill Peppers pop an OSU fan moments after the Buckeyes clinched the win over theWolverines in double overtime.

Such moments aren't unheard of in the sports world. However, how likely is it that charges wouldever follow?


That all depends, said Lara Baker-Morrish, chief prosecutor at the Columbus City Attorney'soffice. As of Monday, the fan hadn't filed a police report with campus officers since the Nov. 26game.

A case would not move forward without a victim willing to testify.

"If (the fan) came forward and wanted to pursue it, we would review it,"she said.

Also, if the two exchanged words, that would be taken into consideration, Baker-Morrishsaid.

Malik easily could have outclassed Peppers playing offense, but we had this kid from Brooklyn who's pretty good.

When we were kids there was this other kid named Matt Jurcin (no idea how to spell it....pronounced JER-SIN). He was a bad kid. Whenever somebody did something wrong the joke was "Jurcin did it"....because half the time, he did.

I feel like from now on, whenever there's an award up for grabs, the running joke will be "Peppers will win it". Cy Young is down to Kluber vs Porcello? Peppers will win it. Vezina Trophy? Peppers will win it. Gold medal in synchronized swimming? Peppers will win it.

somebody gave JER-SIN the clap in jail? Peppers did it.
