Jahsen Wint and Amir Riep FOUND NOT GUILTY

I mean I don't think I feel any better/safer about these two being out just because they could afford 10k and 7.5k than I would if they didn't pay anything.
The problem is many who should be held without bond are being released for nothing and its showing in crime rates. The reform is a failure. Violent offenders that can make bail and I'm sure the victim isnt feeling too safe with them out.

If they are kicked out of the university and it turns out all this was made up (not saying it is), the university will find itself in a major lawsuit.

Nah.
You dont need a lot of reasons to disassociate. Since NCAA 'amateur' cluster is still ongoing, they dont even have 'wrongful termination' case.
Bar is very low.
This seems much more reasonable then to just kick them out because they were accused. I want the school to look at the evidence and make a decision. Like I said, this certainly seems credible based on them already being charged....im personally waiting for all the info before I want to say remove them from school.

If anything, school has legal responsibility to protect student body and ban suspects from campus until its sorted out.

If they pay off the accuser and become all-pro football players who die in a copter crash in 20 years, will all be forgotten?

In America? Yes.
In this particular case, and in many others, it seems more about humiliation.

Humiliating somebody is absolutely about having power over them....

Wow. With those bond amounts, I'm guessing both are going to be sitting in jail until trial.

You mean we dont have bagmen coming out of the woodwork?
I’m offering a “How to be an ELITE bagman” seminar for the low, low introductory price of $89.95 (complementary DiHard baptism - ask one of the old BP-ers- upon request).

This is exactly what i think of all those MASTER CLASS ads.
C'mon you troglodytes. The preferred nomenclature is Bag Humans unless they have specifically announced a pronoun choice.

Did you just assume my species?

No.

Also, don't be fooled by the program or players distancing themselves publicly.
So if it plays out that these two are found guilty, there is a trail back to the university that can be exposed and result in hefty ncaa penalties and a pretty severe black eye? The school is associated at the very least with bailing out potential rapists? And enough people know about it that it's message board material?
