Guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law is one thing. The right (honor?) to put on a Buckeye uniform is another.
Court documents say a video that exist with Riep laughing and the victim crying while he has her say her name and that the fact that what she just experienced was "consensual".
How can that be squared with the core values on the wall at the Woody of respecting women?

No way do either of these guys ever step foot in the Woody again. If this is even remotely true, good riddance to them. Hopefully the young lady involved can get the care and help she needs in order to recover from this.

You don't need to read it anywhere.. just ask yourself how many of such videos YOU have in your collection. Cause I'll tell you what, I've got zero. Zero times have I had sex and thought ... you know what... I think I'd better get their consent on tape.

The description of the video is damning. Assuming the accuracy of the reporting - and it’s probably based on the affidavit of a detective who saw the video - these guys may have convicted themselves.
The right approach is to place them on indefinite suspension that would certainly become permanent once/if they are convicted. This will drag out a while.

There are literally phone apps just for consent. If you haven't been following how title IX has been enforced over the past few years, I'd suggest you take a look. Then ask yourself, if you were an athlete with a football future if you'd try to protect yourself.
Would you be more likely to believe them if there was no video of consent?

To obtain the warrant, you'd imagine they've seen the video. That combined with the quick action by all involved does not bode well for the accused.
As a father of a young daughter, if what is said is true, you feel beyond disgusted. One of the most heinous acts in this world and this will affect their lives every step they take. I hope that young woman has a great support system in place for her, cannot imagine the battle she will have not only for recovering but from dealing with the POS's that will come out against her.
