Jaiden Woodbey (DB Florida State, transfer to Boston College)

Again why commit if you’re not comfortable or committed. Anymore it is just a class placeholder.
Why should a coach take a job when he probably will take another one for a bigger(or better) school eventually(hello Taggert)? I don't fault teenagers, when adults are showing them how to be deceitful. I don't doubt that Woodbey has a part of him that wants to be Buckeye, and he's allowed to take all the visits he wants to make sure he wants to be a Buckeye. Fans need to get over themselves. If tables were turned and Woodbey was committed to USC or FSU and Meyer and staff chased him and had him visiting OSU this late in the process, we'd be cheering and wanting a flip. sucks when the shoe is on the other foot, he wouldn't be a "placeholder" in our eyes then...

I’m fine that he takes all his visits, he should. It just seems odd that he committed when he did, which was awhile ago before taking all his visits. All I’m saying is why not go through the process, do your due diligence and then when sure give your commitment. Until you’re sure it’s not truly a commitment but holding a spot in a class “placeholder “.
So were Matthew Baldwin, Tate Martell, Pete Werner(and that's just the past 2 classes) all placeholders? Should the same things be said about them because they were flipped to OSU? I'm saying do your due diligence as well, but what about a coach who leaves right before the season ends and leaves kids who are committed to his class now in limbo(which is the situation at Tenn, Oregon, FSU, UF, Arky, etc)? It seems odd that a coach like Willie Taggert is now on his 3rd HC job in a year, and a guy like Lane Kiffin seems like he's at another school annually, and left Tenn in the middle of the night to go to USC(which canned him before the season was over as well). I have no problem with committed kids visiting other schools, matter of fact I believe Tressel and Meyer almost encourage visiting other places so that they know OSU is where they want to be. It's unrealistic for any fan to expect a kid to commit and never visit another school, especially OOS kids. I'm also sure that with spots being so tight in this class, a kid would commit to keep his spot

Losing Cox and then Woodbey would be like sitting down to the finest meal of your life and someone takes away all the wine. Still an incredible meal but not the same having water to wash it down.

Really hoping this guy sticks. He’s such a stud.

I’m not going to argue with you about it. I deleted my post prior to your response to avoid this. You have your bent on it relative to coaches and that’s fine. I have my bent on it based on how long the process goes and what being committed means.

I understand USC is close to home but Urban and highly rated DB's has been like a ticket to the first round of the NFL Draft. Roby, Apple, Lattimore,Conley, Bell (2nd rounder), and Ward is a likely first rounder. All in 6 years. Plus with guys leaving there is always room for immediate playing time.
