Daniel Craig is reportedly set to earn $25 million for starring in the new James Bond movie. The 50-year-old actor is set to reprise the role as the iconic British agent in ‘Bond 25’, and it’s been claimed by Variety that Daniel will receive an eye-watering fee for his final appearance as 007.

James Bond 25: GOOD NEWS as details finally CONFIRMED for Danny Boyle’s 007

The 25th entry in the 007 franchise is set to begin production this year, on December 3.

As previously reported, it has finally been confirmed that Danny Boyle will be at the helm.

A tweet from the official James Bond Twitter feed reads: “We’ve been expecting you… #Bond25, Daniel Craig’s 5th outing as 007, will be directed by Academy Award-winning Danny Boyle from an original screenplay by John Hodge.

“Production is set to begin on 3 Dec 2018. MGM will partner with Universal Pictures to release the film worldwide.”

Daniel Craig channels James Bond as he films commercial in Spain... after revealing he is returning to 007 role for fifth time

Daniel Craig was spotted in costume as James Bond filming on location in Cardona, Spain, today (Tuesday 29th May 2018).

According to press reports in Spain, locals said they were shooting a Heineken TV commercial, although nobody on the production crew would confirm or deny. Given the size of the location crew and timing, it is not directly related to Bond 25. Locals said Craig was only there for one day.

With Bond 25 still six months from principal photography and 18 months away from theatrical release, it would mean that fans will see Daniel Craig as 007 in a TV commercial perhaps a year before the film's release.

‘Bond 25’ Gets Cary Joji Fukunaga As New Director For 007 Daniel Craig

Eon Productions and MGM have set Cary Joji Fukunaga as the new director who’ll mount James Bond 25 with Daniel Craig in the starring role. Filming will begin March for a worldwide release date of February 14, 2020. MGM will distribute domestically, and Universal releases the film in international territories, after it won a hotly contested auction last May. Fukunaga becomes the first American born director of the venerable Bond films.

Rewrite

This week, EON Productions officially announced that Bond 25 would push from its (already delayed) release date of February 14th, 2020 to April 8th, 2020. There was no reason given for the additional two months, but news has broken today that explains the additional time.

It is not unusual for a Bond script to go through several twists and turns before the cameras roll, however, Bond 25 has already seen two different directors announced, two delays to the release date, and at least five different writers. If Bond 25 turns out to be one of the better entries in the series, these hiccups will be easily
forgotten.

As well as Daniel Craig (James Bond), returning cast members will include Lea Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), and Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter). New cast members include Billy Magnussen, Ana De Armas, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, and Rami Malek playing the main villain.

Shooting locations will include Jamaica, Pinewood Studios, London, and Italy.

Synopsis
Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

That's A Wrap

After 184 days, principal photography on the 25th James Bond film 'No Time To Die' wrapped on Friday, 25th October 2019.

Some second-unit footage was captured in Norway in March, but it is usual to only calculate shooting schedule by the first-unit calendar. The film now enters post-production with 158 days until the likely World Premiere date of March 31st, 2020.

The last day was a night shoot on the Cuba set built at Pinewood Studios. The use of a Cuban location in the film has never been officially announced, despite the Royal visit showing the sets back in June.

A lavish wrap party was held on Sunday night (27th October 2019) at Freemasons' Hall in London. Lea Seydoux and Lashana Lynch were two of the cast confirmed to be there. Daniel Craig departed the UK and was spotted landing in New York City on Monday.

James Bond has left active service when his friend, the CIA officer Felix Leiter, enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.



Release date in North America is April 8, 2020
