James “not elite” Franklin (HC Penn St. Nittany Lions)

Yep. That's once reason I cannot stand that fucking douchebag, professional trolling of scUM notwithstanding. Dantonio is no friend of tOSU.

Shouldn't expect him to be a friend. But if he wants to keep dominating the fuck out of scUM while trolling them and win bowl games for the BIG while not getting in our way too much, he's A-OK in my book.

Doesn't have to be a friend, but many reports out there of him being one of the leading negative recruiters against tOSU during the tat-gate stuff and immediately following Urban's hire. Plus, as mentioned above, he apparently was feeding bammer info on how to stop us. So, in short, fuck him.

I tried to find it, but unsuccessful. Just an article written by a B1G HC, and from the little description they gave you knew it was a B1G East coach not named Urban or Dantonio. Can't remember if any more narrowing down. Said we weren't impressive though, or some parts of our offense wasn't.

Oh I saved that one

Ohio State has little speed in the secondary, struggles to play man coverage, and its corners are average.

Ohio State’s biggest strength is its defensive line; it’s the second-best we played, behind Michigan State

Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart will take away the run up the middle and make quarterback Cardale Jones run the ball. Ohio State’s running backs are good up the middle, but they can’t make linebackers or defensive linemen miss on the corner. Ezekiel Elliott isn't bad, but he’s not as good as T.J. Yeldon.

People are saying that the Buckeyes can win, and I’d believe it if they still had [injured quarterback] J.T. Barrett.

Am I reading the article wrong? In it the unidentified coach states that OSU's defensive line was the second best they played against behind MSU's. If that's the case the coach can't be Dantonio, he is MSU. Must be Franklin due to the SEC angle and playing against MSU and OSU.

Two different things, though the same person could be involved with both.
- Anonymous article from a coach that isn't MSU but in the B1G East (we shared no common West opponents with MSU)

- Kirby telling reporters that he's talked to ex-SEC coaches that played us, and how they all said Ohio State is an SEC-caliber team. The reporters kinda glossed over his intended message (don't take Ohio State lightly), and instead seized on the "conference traitors" thing.
I don't think there's much of a story there, though - no doubt Urban and co. were talking to people they knew too.
