Nike doesn't give two [Mark May]s what the tOSU players think about the uniforms. They're not buying them. "Message board dudes" are. If middle aged men didn't like to wear them, they wouldn't be a thing.

I had to stop and tell myself that the reason I hate the shit Nike turns out is because at 73 I ain't a "middle aged men."

Designs like these are always presented as standalone options without the jersey because they look very poor with the full uniform.

Monochromatic uniform designs are almost always weak which is why the Nike's NFL alternates looked so bad this year (I forget the name but they were largely one color ). It's why Georgia looks much better in black jerseys if you ignore the overdone black trend.

It might be less weak as a road helmet to contrast the white and scarlet.

I wasn't looking for a monochromatic uniform. More like the regular scarlet with gray pants, with the '68 design of black shoulder numbers and gray stripes. But yeah, with the white jerseys (with the gray stripes) I'd go with it for an alternate look.

Couldn't look worse than wearing the plain carbon helmets in THE GAME last season.

Just my IMO but the black looks best for them when it accentuates the red and grey. Makes it pop a little more. As apposed to a red helmet, black jersey, grey pants which lacks in uniformity (not sure if the pun is intended).
