Jimbo Fisher (ex-HC Texas A&M Aggies)

Are you denying that Jimbo runs a pretty tight ship down there?

Karlos Williams investigation over, because the victim won't come forward with charges.

"I have decided to not press any charges or make any statements regarding the issue," her email stated -- with the "not" underlined -- according to the police report. "I will, however, take help from victims advocate to help me withdrawal (sic) from school and start a new beginning with my life. Thank you for you're (sic) concern, this is my own personal decision that I have thought about for a few days, would be best for me and my kids."
Translation: "Karlos cant make money in jail and right now the NFL is being forced to pay attention to domestic violence cases which could impact how I live in a couple of years."

I see she gave an email statement. Is this so the cameras would not see the TPD officers standing behind her or hear her crying. That she still wants to seek counseling and withdraw from school says something.

Maybe it's state-by-state, but I thought when I initially read this that in a lot of jurisdictions, it's not up to the battered individual to decide if charges are filed. Once the police are aware of abuse, in those cases they proceed with or without consent. Don't know why it's different in this case. Oh, wait, sure I do. It's Tallatrashy.

Laugh of the Day comes to us from Jimbo Fisher:

"There is only so much a coach can do to control margin of victory or defeat. Florida State's Jimbo Fisher said he won't go out of his way to tack on an extra touchdown or two if the Seminoles have that opportunity over the last three weeks of the season.

''I'm not going to change the integrity of the way I do things,'' he said. ''I'm hoping to hold the integrity of the game higher than everybody else. If people on the committee can't see that, then that's it. If it's for us to score to win the game or keep control of it, then we'll do that.''

For an F.S.U. Football Player, a Hit-and-Run Becomes Two Traffic Tickets

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — In the early-morning hours of Oct. 5, as this college town was celebrating another big football victory by Florida State University, a starting cornerback on the team drove his car into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by a teenager returning home from a job at the Olive Garden.

Both cars were totaled. But rather than remain at the scene as the law requires, the football player, P. J. Williams, left his wrecked vehicle in the street and fled into the darkness along with his two passengers, including Ronald Darby, the team’s other starting cornerback.

The Tallahassee police responded to the off-campus accident, eventually reaching out to the Florida State University police and the university’s athletic department.

By the next day, it was as if the hit-and-run had never happened.

Cont'd ...
