Joe Flacco (Baltimore Ravens)

Yeah, because that's exactly what I said. :roll1:

Let me help you--you said, "It'll be a [Mark May]ty experience for the fans." Now, I think we'd all agree that no one would willingly do something (and surely wouldn't shell out the kind of cash that a Super Bowl ticket costs) if he were expecting it to be, in your words, a "[Mark May]ty experience." It follows that one of these must be true:

1. No one will go to the game because they, like you, all believe it will be "a [Mark May]ty experience."

2. The game will sell out and you're right that everyone will have "a [Mark May]ty experience," but you're smarter than everyone attending the game, and though you realize they'll have that kind of experience before the game, they will not.

3. People will go to the game and enjoy themselves, not having "a [Mark May]ty experience," and you'll be wrong.

All caught up now? Good. So care to revisit post #88 in this thread?

Oh, that's right. Joe Flacco said it. He plays for the Ravens. Ravens suck. Ravens = bad. Therefore, anything he says must be criticized.

Flacco was asked what he thought of the Super Bowl being in the NYC area, and the first few words out of his mouth included "retarded" and "stupid." That's an embarrassing, simple-minded response that more closely resembles the rhetoric of an eight year old on a playground than someone who's supposed to be a professional and a leader. His comments were worthy of the criticism they received in the media, no matter what team he plays for.

Yeah unlike years past where QBs get it by default, I think he earned this one...though no Boldin, no trophy, either.

I'm pretty sure every other SB champion QB had someone catching his passes. If they dropped them, no trophy, either.

2013 postseason:

11 TDs
0 turnovers

4 wins

SB champion, SB MVP

At some point, butthurt has to be overcome by common sense, doesn't it?

Most of this thread looks like a comedy routine now.

Thanks, Einstein :roll1:

Will not make the mistake of trying to give another player credit for the big plays they made again.

I only see one person with "butthurt" in this thread, actually...

Flacco's OL and Boldin were equal to Flacco at a minimum. Jones had two TDs largely on his own as well.

Was flacco good? Sure but I have a hard time separating him from the pack. Then again that has only been a standard required for other positions

Yeah clearly this is a logic driven discussion and not more infantile trolling by you, right down to making sure you extend that trash to every corner of BP with your avatar.

I have nothing against Flacco and outside of lewis I love Ravens style football.

I think Flacco made some pretty huge plays that don't show up on the stats sheet that solidified his SB MVP. He escaped sacks at least three times, unlike any QB I've seen SF play. It was pretty frustrating and impressive at the same time.

Boldin had a great game, but those throws were spot on. The o-line was even bailed out by Flacco on a couple occasions. I can recall at least two times when I thought SF had sacks and he just didn't get tackled. Some blame goes to the defenders, but not all.

I don't think he was undeserving, just that it should have been a tougher debate. It is also a pet peeve of mind that any tight race always goes to the QB in a landslide.

Pretty impressive performance all around by their squad. A few calls may have allowed San Fran to steal it but they got beat up for most of the night.
