Exactly. How does Ohio look any different than Ohio State when all you can see is the bottom of the shoe as you get stepped on.

You go by the size of the shoe I guess.

The 6 point loss shoe has to feel better than the damn near 30 point loss shoe.

Both will be playthings next to the full on, cleat to the face they get this November however.

The chant started late in the game and reached a full crescendo as soon as Michigan?s final attempt to avoid elimination fell short.

We are Ohio! We are Ohio!

Ohio?s 65-60 upset of No. 4 seed Michigan in an NCAA Midwest Regional game Friday at Bridgestone Arena provided a lesson: Be careful what you say while stoking the fires of a rivalry because you never know who might take offense.

As soon as he took over Michigan?s football program in January 2011, Brady Hoke started referring to archrival Ohio State as ?Ohio,? a dismissive response to the Buckeyes? boasts that they?re The Ohio State University.

Hoke is wildly popular in Ann Arbor after ending Michigan?s seven-year losing streak to the Buckeyes, but his labeling of Ohio State bothered the school that actually calls itself Ohio. So the Bobcats made their own statement Friday on college basketball?s biggest stage.

?They should respect us now,? Ohio point guard D.J. Cooper said after scoring a game-high 21 points and dishing out five assists. ?We beat them, so they should show us a little more respect.?

Was Michigan (24-10) showing a lack of respect to his school by referring to Ohio State as Ohio?

?Most definitely,? Cooper said. ?Ohio State is The Ohio State, and we?re Ohio University in Athens. So, hopefully, they?ll show us some respect now.?

Email to Coach Beilein:

Dear Jonathan,

Do you remember that joke about the elementary school teacher asking the students to use the word dictate in a sentence? The first two students use the word correctly, then the teacher asks a young Mike Tyson, and Mike answers, "After this girl gave me a blowie I asked her how my dictate." You know...that one?

How does Ohio's dictate?

Very truly yours,

...

Handy coaching tip: be careful whose name you use in a lame attempt to insult another school. There's a chance both institutions may take offense, and do something about it.

What a positively divine St. Patty's Day gift this was, all wrapped up in GREEN. Dumbbunny coaches pick up what they think is a stick to beat tOSU over the head with, and it turns out to be a little green snake that bites them in the @$$!

*insert the but but but they were champions of the MAC point here*

That used to mean something, about ten or so years ago when the MAC routinely got an at-large bid in addition to its automatic bid, because it was such a good conference. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the MAC has regressed recently to the point where it has only gotten 1 team in the dance for the past 8 or so years.
