Jordan Hicks (Philadelphia Eagles)

As far as I know any college football program wants a top 25 recruiting class.

Ohio State is not any college football program. Ohio State finished in the top 5 for 6 out of the past 9 years. I would think Ohio State wants and expects a top 10 recruiting class every year.

As for Hicks, disappointing but not a surprise. Ohio State's depth at linebacker can handle such a disappointment. Lets hope this does not happen every year.

And Henderson could make it a top 15 class. We do a great job of developing players. Yes last year we finished with a bang and we still can this year with Henderson.

wow man...... first Floyd, then Anderson, and now Hicks, this hasint been a good year :(

Yeah, horrible. After the Rose Bowl win, probably the most important defender on the team (Heyward) announces he'll return for another year along with the top LB (Homan) and DB (Chekwa), who both kicked around at entering the draft.

We lose out on a superstar recruit at a position where we have superstar recruits (Bell,Sabino,Sweat,Klein) who can barely get on the field (and that was without Ty Moeller, who will be back in the mix for 2010).

Best of luck to Hicks, hopefully he tears it up in Austin.

I'll agree with being let down, but we can still finish strong with Henderson and/or Brown.

I think better than that....

Hendersen, James & Moses (ACT pending) are looking good. Don't sleep on Latwan's "soft verbal" to WVU......USC and tOSU are still very much in the running. Anyways, food for thought on another thread.

That would be great as well, but IMO Henderson and Brown are our best bets.

All k2 means is that it's been a disappointing year for recruiting. It has. The actual season was awesome of course. However, I think there should be no real heartbreak on our end because with knowing that so many high profile guys were announcing late in the game, it shouldn't be a surprise. I was called a pessimist but I was just going off of lessons in recruiting history. If we land 2 out of 3 on James, Henderson and Moses, it will be a sufficient class and we'll move on to a banner year in '11.

No way to sugar coat it....losing out on a great young man and player like Hicks stings. Having said that, LB was the one position where I felt a "miss" this year doesn't hurt nearly as bad. I'd be MUCH happier if we did land Jordan, but this is a miss we can handle.
