I heard late last night doubts within the program over Josh Shaw story #USC



There's some talk on Twitter that Josh Shaw was involved in a domestic abuse incident & jumped off a 3rd story window while running from LAPD. Take that with a grain of salt as it's all rumors and hearsay.

Now that the story is being questioned, it is a bit odd that the nephew was close enough to the edge of the pool that someone who crawled there was able to pull him out (presumably without jumping in) but not close enough to just grab on to the edge of the pool himself.

Jumping out a third story window takes balls. Jumping out a third story window to evade the cops who are after you for a domestic incident takes serious balls. Jumping out a third story window to evade cops, getting injured, and then publicly proclaiming that your injury is due to jumping off a third story balcony to save your nephew from drowning in a swimming pool takes the BIGGEST FUCKING BALLS IMAGINABLE.

Had to look this quote up, because since the recent developments in this story, a piece of it kept echoing in my head. It's from Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs:

"Clarice, doesn't this random scattering of sites seem desperately random “like the elaborations of a bad liar?"

Given where this is going, I now suspect that before Joshua broke his ankles, he must have landed on his head. Just a great cautionary tale about how not to construct a lie.
