2016 JUCO CB Devron Davis (@dheisman7) says the #Buckeyes have offered him tonight. Been talking with #OhioState for just a few days.

DEVRON DAVIS, 2016 JUCO DB
Received a text about 20 minutes ago from a very well connected source who wanted to clarify that Ohio State has not offered Merced College (California) cornerback Devron Davis, despite the claims from the 2016 defensive back last night on Twitter.

The source told me that neither Kerry Coombs nor Chris Ash has had any contact with Davis despite his claims.

here's where colleges get into trouble. a kid can 'claim' an offer, but can a school comment on that? If the school says yes, then it gets in trouble because it commented on a recruit before signing day.. No, and it can cause problems with other recruits. A bit confusing to me (at least). Good strategy on the kid though, might step up his exposure that Alabama and tOSU offered, which would have other schools, who are content to have the heavyweights do their recruiting work for them, offer the kid, thinking that the Bama and tOSU would actually sign higher rated kids. Oh, how I am waiting for September kick-off.......Go Bucks
