Great stats. Considering how he rebounded from his first year, we should all keep this in mind when we criticize our first year players at tOSU.
Perhaps we should "keep this in mind" when considering the performance of first year starters as well. Including quarterbacks.

Kinda neat: even missing one already this year, he has moved up to .800, solidifying his lead... Gentlepeople, history is being made.

Team captain, special teams player of the week (probably twice inna row), current leader for the Toe of the year award, kickoffs almost always through the endzone,...

Hell, at this rate he should finish in the top twenty for the Heisman, let alone being a high draft pick

Yes. He's the best ever.

In related news, I met Nuge's mom at their "Nugentville" tailgate. It was about the most popular tailgate at the game. Where else do people try to hang out with the kicker's family? They were very nice and she had her fingers crossed anytime anyone said anything nice about Mike. She said she still gets nervous everytime he kicks. I told her I don't.

BTW...

NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE!

I love Nuge, but you have to admit that it's pretty impressive, the amount of kicking records Stulz still holds. Even with the thyroid problem that he had early in his career. Stulz could kick it out of the stadium before that, and almost kick it out, afterwards.

Nuge is probably the most clutch that I've seen for any college football team, in my lifetime.

Nice V-Cash wager:

Will Nuge leave OSU as the all time points scored leader?

A few weeks ago it was probably a more interesting question. After three games much of the mystery is being removed.

Heading into the B10 still over 60 short (right?) still has some intrigue.

Including the Bowl game he has 9 left to get his 64 points

Thats a 7.1 ppg average needed

His current avg is 10.3 ytd
His avg from 2002-current is 7.9 ppg

I'd take that bet

OK, check me if I'm wrong but:

Nuge for his career as of 9/18

56/70 .800
285 pts

3 FG's shy of #1
64 pts shy of #1

If those stats are correct, then take away his so-so 7-14 2001 performance and he's 49/56 (.875) from 2002-present. Phenomenal.
