A big time prospect has flipped from Maryland to Ohio State. Could another be joining him soon?

Perhaps this wasn't the blue chip prospect many Buckeye fans were expecting to flip from Maryland, but it's certainly one they will welcome. Per Scott Greene of Rivals, four-star linebacker Keandre Jones has flipped from Maryland to the Buckeyes, giving the Bucks 19 members of the class of 2016.

Jones, a four-star player and the 4th highest ranked recruit in the state of Maryland, was a Maryland commit for a long time, and attended school just a few miles away from Maryland's campus. But after taking a visit to Columbus, Urban Meyer and the rest of the Ohio State staff was once again able to flip a prospect down the line.

Jones had offers from multiple big time programs, like Penn State, Auburn, Iowa, and more. He also fills a hole in this recruiting class, as the Buckeyes were searching for another linebacker to pair with Tuff Borland. Another Buckeye target, Malik Harrison, was previously targeted as a linebacker, but now could fit in at wideout, or another position.

Of course, this isn't the only Terp the Buckeyes are frantically trying to flip. Four-star QB Dwayne Haskins is still very high on Ohio State's board. Already convincing one of Maryland's top players in the 2016 class to head to Columbus could help their pursuit of the top QB on their board as well.
