Kevin Sumlin (OC Maryland Terrapins)

When Johnny pigskin leaves, it's gonna be a rough go for A&M. This year was rough enough when ever DC in the sec had an off season to prepare for Johnny. He still had a good season, but was forced into a lot of mistakes as he was the entire offense. Next year will be quite the drop off, and if they think Kyle Allen will be a savior... That's a lot of pressure to put another kid to be the entire offense again.

Well I hope he gives credit to the guys that went up and caught his "500" balls. If Braxton threw up as many balls like that people here would go apeshit.

Looking over this roster, who's going to step up next year to fill johnny's role? Kind of slim pickings. Especially since the defense is terrible,it's only going to get worse. This contract extension could be a double edged sword for sumlin. A&M can be a great place when you're winning, but it'll be interesting to see his response from fans when they're winning only 4-5 games

Impressive what he's doing at aTm.
I need to see more. Their defense looks suspect again. No denying the man works wonders with QBs and is an offensive mastermind. But, his offense could only net him 9-4/4-4 last year in a pretty average SEC. Thats respectable, but doesn't put him in the upper echelon of coaches. If their defense isn't better, they're probably looking at a similar season this year. Also I'm not ready to hand Hill the Heisman like much of the CFB "media" was this morning, USCe's defense looks like it could be pretty bad. They lost 3 NFL players off their DL and both starting corners. And the corners they ran out there last night looked lost. aTm receivers were wide open all night.

Good coach, but he isn't doing anything RC Slocum didn't do before him. He's just winning with offense instead of defense.

All fair comments and we are only 1 game into this new season but I'm impressed with what I've seen thus far. Obviously he is still building his body of work, but thus far he's headed in the right direction.
