When a person dies, I'd still rather hear about the good things he or she has done. Richard Nixon or John Kennedy, whoever!

so what? Good for them. It's pretty pathetic when somebody dies and all they talk about is how great they were, when maybe, just maybe, they weren't. I call it the "Richard Nixon syndome." When he died, the networks acted as if one of the greatest presidents died.
Baseball lost one of its great players and ambassadors of the game last night. I know the city of Minnesota feels the loss today. What a great player and what I will always remember from Kirby is that he always had a smile on his face.
God Bless.
wow....you make one mistake and the grammer police come out in force...pathetic.
I meant to write the State of Minnesota.
Now back to Puckett...

If only more people did this.
Puckett wanted his organs to be donated. In a statement, his family and friends thanked his fans for their thoughts and prayers.
I actually agree here...Puckett was a great baseball player, but his life was not even close to as clean as portrayed during his playing days. His passing is an unfortunate event, but to simply forget his adultery and physical abuse is misguided.
For 24 hours? Seems to me that the family ought to at least get one day without a public lashing of their recently deceased son/brother/sister/husband/wife/whatever, but maybe that's just me.
Sure, I can see that, but at the same time, he is a public figure who made some serious mistakes...maybe its just my personal beliefs here, but I rank hitting a woman right up there at the top of unforgivable sins. I can see your point of view completely, but I just see it differently in this circumstance.
