Ohio State grabbed their third commitment for the 2012 recruiting class when Lakewood St. Edward star offensive tackle Kyle Kalis pledged to the Buckeyes Friday evening. Buckeyes get third commitment to 2012 class

The Buckeyes have added commitment No.3 to the 2012 class, offensive lineman Kyle Kalis of Lakewood (St. Edward). The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Kalis picked OSU over Wisconsin and Pittsburgh, but really, it was OSU and AYO as far as he was concerned.

?It?s my dream school, and I already knew once I got the (scholarship) offer that I didn?t want to waste any time,? Kalis said.

He added, ?I wanted to get the ball rolling and start to mold the class of 2012.?

That class already included running back Warren Ball of DeSales High School in Columbus and linebacker/defensive end Joshua Perry of Olentangy High School just north of Columbus.

Kalis said his mental tie to Ohio State runs deep.

?I?ve been thinking about going there ever since I was a kid,? Kalis said. ?Once I got the offer, I coulnd?t think of anything negative coming out of committing early.

?Everything about Ohio State I love, and I cannot wait to become a Buckeye.?
