“Coach Dennis emphasizes the little things,” he said. “And he focuses on those things because as a quarterback, the little things mean a lot. We talked about those throughout the camp, which helped.”
After the conclusion of camp, Holstein and his father took a tour of Ohio State and its facilities. But they stopped into Ryan Day’s office prior to that happening. That’s where the offer to join the Buckeyes was extended. Day impressed the young quarterback.
“His knowledge of the game and the quarterback position is amazing,” Holstein said. “He helped me with the little things during the camp which helped me. As the camp went on, I felt like I couldn’t miss.”
