Lane Avenue open through games

Yeah, saw this on osu.edu...at least the rumor of not allowing any open fires (from grills) was a little overblown...turns out it only applies to parking garages, not surface lots...and I'm ok with that

Once they didn't close Court St in Athens for Halloween.

Once.

I predict that this Policy wno't live to See the light of Day of Sept 5th.

(If I'm wrong, its because someone is hard headed and foolish)

Upgrades of student tickets will not be allowed until the Wisconsin game, and must be done before to the day of the game. Fans with student tickets but no BuckID will not be allowed to enter the stadium. The university said this policy will be expanded to faculty and staff for the 2005 football season.

This should be interesting, I guess they could not conceive the idea of non students gettting the student prices.

One other thing, since the student tickets are one for the whole season. If you get it converted to a public ticket for one game (get the stamp or whatever) will that carry over to the rest of the season?

They scan the barcode on your student ticket, cancel it, and issue you a new ticket...from what I understand, they won't even by punching the tickets or ripping them, just scanning the barcode

Dumb!

So another year is coming and again they are attempting to ruin tailgating at OSU. I have a good one...why don't they bulldoze lane and turn it into a shopping mall. Or better yet why don't they outlaw OSU apparel for games...that way our fans will suck just like the bastards from Ann Arbor.

On another note...I am hyped for watching a new season of games...forget these administrative idiots...they obviously have never been to a game.

Have you seen what they did to lane??? They definitely plan on redeveloping it into more of a shopping mall :)

It has fancy brick fences, that hideous new bridge (yeah, we REALLY needed a cable stayed bridge over the olentangy..even though its current shifts if I piss upstream into it and the new bridge is as wide as the river is), and a couple of the older buildings were torn down to widen the road...gotta have a gateway center on both sides, right? :)

I like the brick work in front of the parking lots at St. John and French Field House & on the business side of the street, but thats just me. I wish the Cooker wasn't sitting empty though, thats a prime party spot.

I like it too, but I just get the eerie feeling that it means Lane is going to see restaurants and such come in that are more upscale and trendy (EXPENSIVE), just like has been happening on High when you see places like Insomnia (is osu the only school in the country without a 24 hours coffee shop? Even the tim horton's on campus is gone now) getting pushed out because Bento GO GO and Starbucks are willing to pay more.

I loved Cooker :(...great food, great atmosphere, pity the company had such poor management
