Traditionally, most coaches in the SEC wait until they are about to be fired before they accuse other schools of "tampering" with recruits.

Either Kiffin has no how recruiting takes place or he'll be canned by Week 5.

I'm thinking Kiffin got his copy of the SEC coaches handbook, saw the first rule that states "anything goes", quit reading, and therefore never made it to the "finer points" section which you referenced.

The chapter is titled "Anything goes - or you go" It was ghost written by Nick Saban.

Yeah, it seems like 'anything goes' in the SEC recruiting wars. It is interesting to note that there were at least 3 Florida verbals that were 'swayed' to Tennecheat on signing day. Not to mention other SEC schools (LSU, ?) who lost verbals to the 'push' by Kiffin and Tennessee. I guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored. Don't hear Meyer complaining about those 'decommits' at the 11th hour.

Not heard of texting during a recruits official to another school, but Urban Meyer is nothing if not original. Pretty sure that Tress (or many of the B10 coaches) would get chewed up and spit out with the lack of 'gentlemen's agreements' in the SEC. Yeah I know, Alabama is one of the worst, but Saban's not getting the negative press that Florida and Tennessee are getting. First salvo to Kiffin. Next salvo from Meyer? I love this living theater.

Welcome to the paradox of the SEC. We all cheer for each other to do well and have great records/win bowl games...etc
But then we spend the next 5 months accusing the other guys of cheating to get there - bless our little hearts.

One problem: I checked with a compliance director at another
school and she couldn't find anything wrong with what Meyer allegedly
did. "I've never heard of that," she said of Kiffin's accusation being a
violation. "That would surprise me. As long as it's permissible on the
recruiting calendar, it should be OK."

A story posted a Tennessee TV station's website says: "Football coaches
are not permitted to contact a prospect while his on an official visit to
another school's campus." Hey, it's on a TV station's website so it has to
be accurate, right?

Oh, one other thing. How could Meyer be "cheating" if Richardson wasn't
supposed to be at Tennessee in the first place? Kiffin adds that the
receiver said, "he wasn't even coming to visit us."

I don't know the rules, just passing it on. But Kiff has Spurrier and Saban and Meyer on his shit list and he has not played a down of SEC ball.

This is the SEC. Think Hatfields and McCoys. Tapes will be shared, Vols will be embarrassed. Great fun actually. :p

Well Kiffin isn't off to a great start now is he? I fully expect the UF vs. Tennessee game to be a enormous blowout. Heck I think Tennessee is going to get treated pretty rudely all year because of this guy and his impressive, but yet slimey staff.
