Just came from seeing Pirates 5, and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't quite as action packed as the previous ones, but it was still a very good movie with a pretty good surprise. The post-credits scene was interesting, especially since I thought this was supposed to be the "final chapter." Maybe for Jack and/or Barbosa, but not the others?

Just watched Independence Day: Resurgence. Basically a bigger budget Sharknado (i.e. should have been direct to SyFy), but damn it was a fun one. I kind of want a 3rd one now that is nothing but sci-fi tropes and memes that makes no attempt at being "serious" where they take out the harvesters in outer space as the ending suggests.

A Dark Song: Irish horror film, @kinch type movie because it is basically set in one location like a play. Just 2 main characters, including a very MILFtastic woman and a strange man. Without giving the story away, the woman wants to talk to her dead son, the guy knows the ritual. I really liked it, a refreshing entry.

The mother of all wrecked cars movie. Lot's of wrecks, shooting, and explosions.
The heros come out unscaved so there could be a #9 & #10.

Fast and Furious 9 and 10 confirmed, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson 'signed up' to return

Had "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise" on as background noise in my living room while I was doing something else.

I didn't realize they made movies this bad. If this movie got 1/2 a star, that's probably 1/2 a star too many.

Courtney Thorne-Smith was hot in 1987 though (she's probably hot now too).

DVD: Seven Samurai--obviously a classic and to find fault with it you'd have to be some motherless hipster trying to be cool
Theater: Guardians of the Galaxy 2--liked it, perhaps not as much as the first but still my favorite franchise in the Marvelverse.
