LB Anthony Schlegel (Boar Hunter)

Surprised this hasn't been making the rounds yet. Wunder pre-gaming.

And has anyone else noticed that as Schlegel is starting to get a bead on him, Wunder makes a gesture like he's calling out for blockers. Kid is growing on me, so I hope he doesn't ruin it with some bullshit PI lawsuit.

In case you "wunder"ed  what happened to the student Schlegel body slammed:

Student who ran onto Ohio State football field fined $100

He was slammed to the turf by an Ohio State University football coach when he dashed onto the field at Ohio Stadium last month, but Anthony Wunder received gentler treatment yesterday in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Wunder, a 21-year-old mechanical-engineering student at OSU, was ordered to pay a $100 fine and court costs after he pleaded guilty to criminal trespassing for his Sept. 27 sprint during a game against the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

The sentence, imposed by Judge H. William Pollitt Jr., was consistent with the penalties typically given for the low-level misdemeanor when committed by someone like Wunder who has no criminal record, said Lara Baker-Morrish, Columbus’ chief prosecutor.

Wunder will retain his scholarship through the Evans Scholars Foundation, provided that he completes an alcohol-awareness program, said Jeff Harrison, senior vice president of education at Western Golf Association, which sponsors the foundation.

“Anthony has accepted responsibility; he’s apologized and cooperated fully,” Harrison said. “He’s a good kid who made a mistake.”

I'm happy they are letting the kid keep his scholarship. Having a couple too many beers and running onto your school's football field during a game shouldn't be the kind of mistake that really messes up your life.
That wasn't a question of "having a couple too many beers" and a spontaneous (stupid) decision. There is a much higher probability that it was planned well ahead of time. And he's a senior. Losing his scholarship at this point shouldn't mess up his life. If he has been on scholarship for his entire time at tOSU he shouldn't have any student loans. Pulling his scholarship now would mean he finishes school with a small amount of debt. Instead he basically gets off scot free. That's a great lesson to teach him.

How many employers are going to hire him after doing a background check?

Hell you don't even have to do a background check. Just google his name, and his mug shows up front page.

SMH...

Honestly, his stunt would not preclude me from hiring him for one moment. It wasn't that big of a deal. He's a kid who's done everything in life right so far but in a moment of drunken stupidity ran onto a football field. He didn't rape or violently assault anyone. He didn't cheat his way through college. He didn't take a semester off to fight for ISIS. He ran onto a football field for christ's sake.

Would you hire Troy Smith? He arguably did things worse than run onto a football field before unfucking himself and turning into the model citizen that we are all rightly very proud to call a Buckeye? Look at Maurice Clarett for fuck's sake. He's a true model of redemption, yet we're supposed to write off the rest of the life of this 22 year old guy because he dared to run onto a football field during a game.

If he would have pulled a Heisman pose, I'd agree. He didn't. May God have mercy on his soul...

This sounds an awful like Jameis Winston's resume (at least I did not fight for ISIS!). Btw, I am agreeing with you, just wanted another chance to point out Jameis is a piece of ever living shit.

1) He's not a "kid", he's a man.

2) My Commander says it best when he says, "They call them 'adult beverages' because you are supposed to act like an adult when you partake in them."

A better life lesson wouldn't be teaching him that he can get away with things that are against the rules but he thinks is funny when he's drunk. He should have had the scholarship pulled for the remainder of the year.
