LB Baron Browning (Denver Broncos)

There's an attitude change with this team. It's like a weight has been lifted and they're just having fun and as a result they are executing at a very high level.
They're having fun like you said...

I love UFM but I remember Dabo after they beat us in 2016 say something along the lines that "sometimes not screaming at kids is best"....

I tend to agree. I think UFMs style can be hard and I think Day is more like Riley or Dabo.

Little by little the players from 2018 are revealing relationship issues with the staff.

Ohio State junior middle linebacker Baron Browning is out for this week’s game at Northwestern.

The Buckeyes have released their weekly availability report, which features Browning listed among those who won’t be playing Friday night. No reason or injury information has been provided.

Browning is the team’s third-leading tackler on the season (23) and has actually played more snaps than starting middle linebacker Tuf Borland this season. Browning also sees a bunch of snaps on passing downs, which will now likely go to Borland. Or perhaps the Buckeyes will change some things around and play more of the Bullet and have Will linebacker Malik Harrison play the middle on passing downs.

The linebacker position may be boosted with the return of sophomore Teradja Mitchell, who is now a game-time decision. Mitchell has missed the last couple games for the Buckeyes.

The other big news from the availability report is that starting left tackle Thayer Munford is a game-time decision. That situation is made even more tenuous by the fact that reserve offensive tackle Josh Alabi is out this week. Alabi has been a spot starter for the Buckeyes this season and last, so his absence could be significant this week.

Here is the list in its entirety.

Game-Time Decision

* LB Teradja Mitchell
* LT Thayer Munford
* HB CJ Saunders

Unavailable

* OT Josh Alabi
* WR Kamryn Babb
* LB Baron Browning
* DT Noah Donald
*WR Ellijah Gardiner
* TE Jake Hausmann
* SAF Ronnie Hickman
* DT Taron Vincent

Borland has been fine this year. He’ll be fine if he plays the whole game against NW. They should and will get White some minutes, though, and hopefully Mitchell will be able to get some reps, too.

He's been "fine" bc his snaps have been cut in half this season so it hasn't been as glaring. He's been solid in the run game most of the year with the exception of a few missed tackles in the MSU game. The only time the Spartans got anything going offensively were on possessions where he missed a tackle, got caught out of position, or wasn't able to keep up with the player he was covering. Werner got caught a few times as well.

Coverage on the perimeter and peeking too much in the backfield, biting on play-action, and guys running free over the middle continues to be a major concern, especially against teams with above average talent/speed at TE or at RB.

He has a chance to prove a lot of people wrong tomorrow night, but I think we've all seen this act before. He never was the fastest pre achilles injury, it hasn't improved.

Count me in the crowd that hopes to see a lot more of Brendon White.
