LB Bobby Carpenter (All B1G, National Champion)

Fark You
This is kinda surpising, seeing as I hadn't heard anything on this yet... Figure this news would come out here first...

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/bigten/home.htm

ROSTER REPORT: Running backs Brandon Joe (ankle) and Maurice Hall (knee), offensive lineman T.J. Downing (ankle), defensive linemen Reggie Arden (nose) and Mike Kudla (neck) and linebacker Bobby Carpenter (undisclosed) are questionable against Cincinnati. Defensive lineman Marcus Green (shoulder) is probable. Wide receiver Devin Jordan (leg) is expected to miss the season.
Anyone else heard this? Hopefully it is just misreported.

Haven't heard a thing about this locally. I would think that this would have been reported somewhere. He has never even been listed as having a non contact jersey on that I know of.

Gotta be a misprint.

Nothing that I have seen indicates that he won't be playing. They usually release injuries at the press conference. It depends on if he was hurt since Tuesday. I think it's bogus since we havent heard anything from tOSU sites.

Let's Go Bucks!!

He did have IIRC an ankle sprain or something like that a week or two ago and he was non-contact for a while...but AFAIK, all is good now and it was just a minor problem that happens all the time, I assume that if it was the regular season, nobody would have even known

I'll bet that it was supposed to say " Kerr out with undisclosed problems "
just a guess though!
good point. The article also mentioned Mo Hall being out. As of JT's interview yesterday, Mo is still #2 on the depth chart. Maybe this writer should proof read their article, before posting it.

Bobby Carpenter is the real deal!

I was very impressed with a number of players on defense today, including Pitcock, D'Andrea, Hawk, Fox, and Youboty. However, after sitting in The Shoe this afternoon, I realize that I'm witnessing the emergence of a true superstar in Bobby Carpenter.

I can't believe his combination of size (looks like 6'3.5" and 255), strength, and speed. His acceleration to his target was phenomenal. While he had 9 tackles, he disrupted more running plays than stats show, and he pressured Gino at least twice. He only got beat by the tight end on one crossing pattern, still making the tackle downfield. He disrupted the throw to the TE by taking a perfect angle at least twice.

Guys, this guy is going to be great this year, and I think we're looking at a future All-Pro. Go Bucks!

I've never understood all of the hype around Hawk while there is so little press about Carpenter...IMO, they've played pretty similarly over the last few years, though Hawk has put up better numbers, Bobby's combo of strenght and speed is insane and he seems to have great instincts on the field...and you can't beat his genetics, NFL rb father and his mother is one of the most intense people I have ever met, and IIRC she was an athlete at OSU in swimming.

Our defense this year is scary good

Of course, I'm biased since I'm from Lancaster, but oh well :)

Channel 10 Columbus. I don't know how to post pictures from video, but if I could, I would. I was pissing myself laughing!!!

Interview with Bobby Carpenter after the game.

He has his hair slicked over to one side, he has big aviator sunglasses on, and he's wearing a flightsuit that says Iceman on the pocket.

One of the funnier post game interviews I have ever seen!!
