LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

Does Brian have the speed for safety at the next level or is he strictly going to grow into a LB?

He has the speed for Safety, but I do believe he has the frame to go in the 230's (he's 220+ right now) at least with weight training... I believe everyone is recruiting him as an OLB...

Nevermind, if he's already 220+ I think it's a given where he'll end up. :)

He definitely sounds like he could be a special teams monster early in his career...

Immokalee?s Aaron Henry and Brian Rolle will also be taking official recruiting visits this weekend to South Carolina and LSU, respectively.

In an interview with Rivals.com, Rolle said that Ohio State is his top choice after visiting Columbus during the Michigan-Ohio State game a couple of weeks ago.

He led Immokalee with 125 tackles and also rushed for 902 yards and 17 touchdowns. Rolle said that LSU is one of the schools recruiting him at running back, but his desire is to play linebacker in college.

Shurburtt said that Rolle has the athleticism to play running back, but feels that his future is on defense.

?He?s not the tallest linebacker in the world, but he?ll hit you,? Shurburtt said. ?He kind of reminds me of Jessie Tuggle, who used to play for the Atlanta Falcons, or even a Sam Mills.

?He?s just a short fire-plug type linebacker and he?s fast and strong.?

Whatever happened to Mike Bakas? That FL guru usually was nuts on with his FL kids evaluations. I would like to see his take on Rolle/Wright et.al....

He has been answering questions over on OSU's scout site today. He had great things to say about Wright/OSU

By BK...Brian visited LSU last weekend and said it felt more like home, however OSU impressed him the most. He will visit Florida before he decides.

Don't count Florida out of this...despite the fact that he is supposedly a "silent" to OSU, making the last visit to UF should not be taken lightly.

Florida is slow-playing him... That's why they've pushed him back into January...
PSU is doing the same thing with Still's in-home. These schools are trying to stretch out the time from the player's OSU officials to (1) see if the kids will wait for them and guage their interest and (2) get them to be as far removed from their OSU visit as possible (since both were rumored to be silents)...
