No he hasn't. Feel kind of bad for him. He's played what, 20-25 snaps all season? His buddies have blown numerous plays and gotten multiple chances.. Seems like Curtis made a couple bad plays vs Cal and got thrown to the bench.

I think it has more to do with the defensive scheme than with his play

Not sure why all the highly-touted linebackers we've recruited have produced so little apparent result on the field. Sabino and Grant were both prep All-Americans who have not looked like it as collegians. Head-scratcher.

Whiffing on Hicks and DePriest certainly didn't help. I'll chalk it up to bad luck, since Fickell has been in charge of LBs since #33, and he turned out fine.

Agreee. Curtis might not have the system down, but ive seen him make a few plays.

In the Cal game, Curtis actually made two very good plays. He also made two very bad plays. Rest of the time I think he's played like the rest of our LBs, which is mediocre at best.

Don't know what he specifically did to warrant time on the bench. Shazier makes a lot of tackles but overruns or blows tackles 5-6 times per game yet he never comes off the field.

Not sure what he did either. But he cant get to the ball and get the guy down. Storm Klein cant make tackles in space, doesnt move well enough. They need Curtis in there next week and just tell him to get the ball.

I feel like we ran into these issues sometimes during the Tressel era and Heacock would always say we're going to dummy down the gameplan this week and just get back to fundamentals. See the ball, get the ball, get the man down. Against a relatively vanilla power run team like MSU, maybe dumbing things down a bit is in order.
