LB Darron Lee (National Champion, Super Bowl Champion, Fugitive)

DARRON LEE INTERCEPTS TWO PASSES ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, SCORES FIRST CAREER NFL TOUCHDOWN

Darron Lee intercepted two passes and scored his first career NFL touchdown during the third quarter of the New York Jets' season opener against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

As you can see in the video above, the former Ohio State linebacker intercepted a pass from Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown, running past former Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker in the process.

Lee's interception return was the Jets' first defensive touchdown since 2013, breaking the team's 73-game drought without a defensive touchdown, the longest such drought in NFL history, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Less than two minutes of game time later, Lee intercepted Stafford again for his second interception of the quarter.

ya not terribly surprising tbh..was having his best season yet with a contract option coming up this offseason. too much data now..can't hide this shit anymore

(fwiw my stance is staunchly in favor of letting pro athletes take w/e the hell they want under medical supervision)

Just to clarify, he was busted for *non*-PEDs (the NFL release would say if it was for PEDs, if it's for 'drugs' they no longer say which substance)

Most people are thinking weed but we'll never know.

League’s policy on testing for weed:

Beginning April 20, of all days, through August 9, NFL players are subject to a random drug test for marijuana and other drugs banned on the league's substances-of-abuse policy. If a player passes, he won't be tested again until the following season.

After a first failed test, a player enters an intervention program, in which he can be tested, in certain situations, up to 10 times per month. Penalties for failing multiple drug tests range from fines worth 11.76, 17.6 or 23.5 percent of an annual salary (two, three or four game checks); to suspensions without pay that can last four, six or 10 games; to a one-year ban from the league.
