The BPRT didn't start a thread on this kid initially because it did not look like there was any mutual interest. Then, starting last week, every school in America started taking a hard look at this kid and he came away with a boat load of offers...

By JC Shurburtt...Southern California, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Miami, Georgia Tech, Louisville and UCF all offered last week. OSU and Maryland offered on Monday. He recently visited Miami for a practice and says everyone is even.

I would give the Canes the inside edge, but we will see what happens...this could be one of the reasons why Beachum hasn't gotten an offer yet.

From the UNC site...next weekend Etienne will visit UNC, NC State and Duke. Confirms the OSU offer, but the update is mostly about his interest in UNC and Coach Davis.

Well I just checked out his video, and really liked what I saw. He is a big kid who has good speed and athleticism. He attacks the line well, hits very hard, and really drives the kids back who he hits. He makes a couple of nice one handed tackles and even has a play where he jumps over the line (near the goal line) to stop the runner. I like him, but I dont know how much of a shot we have in getting him out of the south.

Wow, that would be a great get for NC. What are the chances Butch Davis is able to consistently out recruit FSU and Miami for top Florida players?
In his last six years with North Carolina, Mack Brown was 54-17 (.761 winning percentage), with three 10-win seasons and six bowl appearances. There's no reason why Butch Davis couldn't do something similar, if given an adequate grace period to turn the Tarheel program around (say five years).
