LB Fred Pagac Jr. (official thread)

That is really good to see. Really good to see. His Dad was such a fixture at Ohio State and the parting was not so sweet when Cooper left. So, this is a really good thing for a former player that comes from a family that is Buckeye through and through.

Welcome home, Fred, welcome home.

Old (but nice) Fred Pagac article:

The fight in the dog

Fred Pagac had to hear comments on his size throughout his career. (waynepaulo.com)

Although Frankfurt is pretty far away from Columbus, Ohio, Galaxy linebacker Fred Pagac (pronounced PUG-ich) is at home right now. NFL Europe is a chance for the underrated and overlooked to get some recognition, and Pagac couldn't be happier to be in the league. As he looks out across the river to downtown Frankfurt, he sees opportunity to prove that the NFL is in his future, because after all, it's really about the size of the fight in the dog, not the dog in the fight.
Since playing collegially at Ohio State University, he's been called too small, not fast enough, not built in the mold of the "perfect linebacker." But that wasn't always the case. Growing up in Columbus as the son of an Ohio State great, former linebacker Fred Pagac Sr., the younger Pagac was always the one to watch.

Welcome home Fred :oh: :io:

Very happy to see this. In four graduating classes (1996-99) Dublin Scioto sent four scholarship football players to tOSU 1. Nick Goings; 2. Roland Steele; 3. Greg Simpson, and; 4. Freddy Pagac - none of their stories really ended all that well at tOSU (though Goings' story is still going well in Carolina). Very happy to see Freddy going back, and hopefully the Dublin connection might give tOSU an extra edge in Adams and Stoneburner.

I played against Goings, Steele and Simpson in HS. Steele [edit - I didn't like] but the other two are good guys.

I thought Fred Sr played TE for the Buckeyes....anyone know for sure?
