i think jerome looks like a leo, but... shoot... just get him on campus and figure out the rest later. from linebacker to tight end to nose guard, i think it's just a matter of getting jerome to the right weight and then letting him go.

Nose Guard? 6 foot 200 lb nose guard? :/ ?

I see a linebacker all the way...really fluid on defense, a little stiff with the ball in his hands. Really athletic but plays under control and makes the play. I think Glover-Williams is far and away the #1 player in Ohio for '15, but Baker seems to be #2 in my eyes.

Over Hilliard? I'm not sure about that. I'd go EGW, Hilliard, Baker.

do i think baker will line up over center? absolutely not. however, he has the frame for (much) more weight, his hands are excellent, he engages and deflects larger players, and he plays with a constant motor. the best interior defensive linemen would shine at other spots if only lighter.

as stated, i think baker appears to fit best at leo

High school football: Benedictine's Jerome Baker quickly moving into a rare prep realm (with video)

A bike sits outside Benedictine's locker room on most days the Bengals conduct football-related activities.

It belongs to a modest, active 16-year-old who has quickly become one of the nation's top college football prospects.

Jerome Baker, a junior linebacker/running back, doesn't enjoy sedentary moments.

Perhaps that explains why he already holds scholarship offers from more than a dozen major colleges, including Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State.

Instead of finding a car ride to practice, Baker bikes from his home at East 85th Street and Euclid Avenue to Benedictine High School.

The hilly rides are part of a broader plan, one in which Baker devotes many of his waking minutes to football.

"Everything I do is for football," he said. "If I have to walk somewhere, I will. I do everything I can to get into shape. I use football as motivation."

Baker's measurables are impressive. He stands 6-foot-2, weighs 202 pounds, bench presses close to 300 pounds, squats more than 400 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in a swift 4.5 seconds.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - It didn't take Jerome Baker long to catch the attention of colleges from all over the country. There are 15 colleges that have offered him scholarships and he's only just finishing up his junior season.

Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Illinois and Florida are some of the schools that have extended an offer to Baker.

The offers began coming in when he was still a sophomore. Before his sophomore season, Baker attended the Nike Football Sparq Combine in Massillon, where he posted a 4.67 40-yard dash time and turned a lot of heads in the process. He's gotten quicker since then.

Baker's size and speed make the 6-foot-1, 202-pound RB/LB a formidable opponent and are big factors why colleges want him.

I feel bad for Baker.. all the recruiting sites show him as a safety or LB
so last night had to be very disappointing for him
they made him play RB and he only scored 5 TDs

must have shown he was not happy on the sidelines only playing O
so they let him play a little D too.. for a dozen tackles and a pick

Benedictine's Jerome Baker is tackled by Chagrin Falls defender Michael Munday in the third quarter of the Bengals' Division IV Regional semifinal win Friday at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium.

A twinkle in Jerome Baker’s eye let Benedictine coach Joe Schaefer know everything was going to be all right on Friday night at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium.
With the Bengals holding a slim 24-21 lead over Chagrin Falls in a Division IV, regional semifinal — and with the Tigers receiving the ball to start the half — there might have been cause for concern.
Well, until Schaefer got a look at his junior running back.
“He had a look in his eye when he came out at halftime,” Schaefer said. “It was pretty impressive.”
Not anywhere near as impressive as what was yet to come.
Baker scored two second-half touchdowns and paved the way for another with his blocking, leading Benedictine to a 52-35 victory over Chagrin Falls.
The win puts Benedictine (9-3) into a regional championship game next Friday against Youngstown Cardinal Mooney. The location of that game will be announced Sunday.
Baker finished with 19 carries for 252 yards, five touchdowns, an interception and a plethora of tackles.
