LB Jerome Baker (Seattle Seahawks)

Worley is this year's Perry. Not flashy but there's a reason he's starting. He really doesn't get the credit he deserves
Agreed, flash is nice, but so solid and making the right plays. I see no reason in sitting Worley. Not taking anything away from Baker, but let's not just sit a guy who's making no mistakes, especially when Worley plays very well against the run, and isn't a problem in space. Keep Baker definitely in the rotation though. Good problems

Ohio State spotlight player: LB Jerome Baker

At Wisconsin, Jerome Baker led Ohio State with 13 tackles, eight of them solo

Jerome Baker was going to play a lot this season regardless of the circumstances.

But when starting outside linebacker Dante Booker suffered a sprained knee in the season opener, Baker was thrust into the Ohio State lineup full time. Since then, he has flourished.

“We always knew he had exceptional talent,” coach Urban Meyer said. “We burned his redshirt midway through the season last year because we saw the same things we see now.”

What they see from the sophomore is someone running to the ball, getting himself in the mix repeatedly for a defense that, despite taking some lumps a week ago in an overtime win at Wisconsin, is still ranked among the elite in the nation. Baker leads that defense with 39 tackles. Among those are five tackles for loss.

I think Baker is a higher impact player than Raekwon. Great interception that gate tOSU offense a respite. 15 total tackles, if I remember right yesterday. Amazing player. Just wow!!!

On a different note, I am so glad we got him to flip from Florida. I actually remember thinking that he might not be that important at that time. Lol!

15 tackles including a sack and an interception in The Game. Wow.

If you wanted to name a guy that has flown under the radar a bit (Buckeye fans know the name) but nationally has been under-appreciated, this is your guy. We really shouldn't be 11-1. It's the effort of a guy like Jerome who has been a stud, to help make this happen. Kid is athletic as hell when he needs to be, and plays physical when asked to take on a lead blocker. He's been great.

And kid could probably play RB and be a stud too...talent for days. I'm just happy he's forced to come back another year . He'd be a late first or early second pick.....his skill set is coveted at the next level.
