I'll just say there's an intriguing comment at the bottom of this link, which purports to link both Mitchell bros to a crazy story involving a former teammate earlier this year.

I know this isn't the place for this, and it's all hearsay, but I immediately thought about an article about McCann Utu that I read after he passed. I have family that lives maybe 20-25 minutes from Plano East High School, so it was a story I had heard about because my younger cousins all play sports in that area.

The following snippet:

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/crim...-mom-brother-was-not-intoxicated-autopsy-says

"Relatives and friends said McCann hadn't been himself since two head injuries about three years ago. The first was sustained while he was playing basketball for Plano West Senior High School, and the second came during a fight with another student a few months later.

The teen's family has released his brain to UT Southwestern Medical Center for study.

McCann's brain had a slight depression in the right frontal portion, according to the autopsy report by the Collin County medical examiner's office. It also described his brain as having ridges that were slightly flattened."
