LB Mike Mitchell (transfer to Texas Tech, transfer to Southeastern FL)

247 has Mike as the number 100 overall recruit. No way in heck is there 99 better football players in the country this year.

If he puts on the Scarlet and Gray those numbers arent going to matter anyway but they have him way too low.

Well, the trend is that your ranking will drop once you commit to OSU, right??

:oh:

Idk if this has been posted, but it's a cool highlight vid of mike taken by his dad at his games. It's really cool because you can hear Mike's mom and dad get excited and sound like proud parents in the background. Not only is mike laying the wood out there but he looks like a very smart player out there

The thing I noticed about that film is he is unblocked 95% of the time. There must be some good players on his D-line. Something he would have in spades at tOSU

They are kind of running a 5-3 defense with a small OLB or safety walked down on the strong side. There really isnt anyone left to block the LBers. Mike is very fast at reading the play and filling the hole. If he can do that on the college level he'll be fantastic. Alot of LBs come to college and it gets too fast for them and they dont react quickly enough. The transition is the thing.
