LB Palaie Gaoteote (Official Thread)

We don't stop recruiting him, but more emphasis will be put on Gant, Peters and Oats now, IMO. We'll be fine regardless. Not to mention Adrian Jackson from CO
Agreed with everything here except I don't know anything about AJack. I'm not surprised about a kid from Hawaii, playing in Neveda, wanting to stay on the west coast. If we were a strong 1b choice I doubt he would verbal this early. Any program would make room for him up to signing day.

I know the staff is still working here and his commitment is not over, but is there a reason his CB is 75% to the Buckeyes still? Every OSU insider has him to Bucks, just not sure if they didn't update it or if they think he still comes this way. Probably just me being optimistic, I still think Gaoteote is the best LB in the country...swing for the fence I say.

Don't think you can put in a crystal ball for the school he's currently committed to.

Thus, the CB's we are seeing are either from before he committed to USC, or from people who since then think he will flip. None from the people who think he's still set on USC. Selection bias.

That's the thing, 25% are on USC. Usually the CB's go away once they commit, so I was curious.

Kurelic notes that five-star ILB Palaie Gaoteote (Las Vegas/Bishop Gorman) will take an official visit to Ohio State.

Gaoteote committed to USC back on Feb. 19. It’s not too uncommon for someone who is committed to take visits to other schools. But, it does open the door for a potential switcheroo—decommitment followed by a commitment—to occur.

Apparently there is still a small glimmer of hope to get him here.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I had a feeling he would get out to Columbus before NLOID. Even if there is the slightest chance here, you knock down the doors to get him in this class.
