I hope Ross accepts soon and I really feel like he is the type of kid that will. My high school played his two years ago in the playoffs when he was a sophmore and he absolutely lit us up. I hope to get out and watch him play sometime this year.

I live about 20 minutes from Coldwater and heard Tressel called Ross the day after signing day. He asked him to be the first commit in this years class, but I'm sure he did that to everyone. I look for him to be a Buckeye soon. It'd be neat for another local kid going tOSU.

way to go Tressel on getting these young talents interested early.... it always pays off to talk to these kids as soon as possible because making a good impression very early on can make the players feel more of a commitment to the University because of being involved with them so long... lets keep the Buckeye tradition of excellance going....

According to Ross' father, he did not commit this past weekend. The Homans enjoyed the trip and everything about Ohio State. Ross was shown where he would fit in on the depth chart. When asked about a timetable for ending the recruiting process, Mr. Homan said,

"I don't know how long he's going to think about it, but it looks really nice at Ohio State," they said. "It's a good situation for him."

early on, i wasn't sure of homan at all coming from such a small school, but the more i hear people talk about him the more excited i am getting. he sounds like a big fish in a small pond now, but he still could be a big fish in the shoe if given a chance. if coach T wants to give him that chance already, he must be awesome.

as for the betting on the next verbal, it sounds like a good vBet. homan would probably have poor odds (as would all the other guys with offers) but it could be fun to put some vCash on it.

Sorry for not stopping back for such a long time. Here's the deal on Ross right now:

His mom said he would probably verbal over the weekend, but didn't. That basically means we have to wait a little longer before Ross is "officially" a Buckeye. I was really surprised he didn't verbal over the weekend, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't verbal soon. I look for he and Aaron Brown to both be Bucks sooner than later.

I may be heading back to Coldwater this weekend, if so I'll try to check in with Ross.
