Least favorite soft drink

My mom always had diet coke in the house... so I've been trained to that flavor. I like Coke, but doubt I've ever finished a can/glass of it. Pepsi isn't quite as thick.

Taos you might not want to rely on MySpace or email chain letters for your information gathering. :)

Ethylene Glycol - Soda does not contain Ethylene Glycol although it does contain Propylene Glycol.

3.4ph - oh noooees! Of course that's about the same ph as an apple while gastric acid has a ph of <2.

Soda dissolves bones - luckily we have a digestive system which breaks it down rather than just pouring it on our fibulas...to be fair you might not want to hold a mouthful of coke for an entire week.

It's too cold, it'll shut our bodies down! - better stay away from ice cream too, or anything kept in a refrigerator for that matter. I mean it's not like items in our stomach tend to warm up (or cool down) to body temperature while they're being digested.

CO2 is teh devil! - there was no Coke drinking contest at Kent State, or the University of Delhi for that matter...which was the original "claim" of the chain letter.

It'll eat your stomach lining!! - How? By making the acid in your stomach slightly more alkaline?

Thanks for clarifying things, Muck.
But, your not advocating drinking quarts of Pepsi a day, are you?
Good luck with that!

Nope. Pepsi is nasty shit.

Seriously though I just don't subscribe to the Al Gore school of "informing". I see little point is ridiculous hyperbole. :)

I don't recall anyone in the thread being under the delusion that soda is a health food.
