No touching!
I was rooting for Beaver to beat out Newsome anyways... Think of all the creative signs the students would have when UM comes to The Shoe...

MD, we've gotten some info that there is a lot of pressure on Newsome to stay home... So I would guess that VA Tech could be the move at this point...

I can hear the call now after he gets run over by a linebacker; Ahhhh look at the shot that poor Beaver just took!

Yes it is.

No surprise here, there's been smoke for quite a while, and no matter how much they wanted to deny it, where there's smoke, there's often fire.

This has an impact on PSU too. They have been really wanting to land Forcier and with Newsome no longer a scUM verbal, they have to be the favorites now. PSU really needs a top QB in this class so you gotta think if Forcier does turn blue, they have to go after Newsome hard. For the record, I think he ends up a Hokie (Newsome that is).

So Penn State ends up losing to Michigan? Gee I've never heard that before

I can see the headlines now...

"Fellows and Simon wax UM's Beaver"

What's funny about all of this is the rationalization that I've heard from UM fans on this "not being a big deal"...

Until Forcier commits (IF he commits), they have all of their eggs in one basket with Beaver. There better be a superstar between those two, or RR & scUM is in trouble.

Newsome leaving could be a big deal, but in my opinion their DL recruiting is their big deal. If the faithful are in denial about that one, I'd be laughing.

DE recruiting is still my #1 concern. QBs are important and all, but we took a QB last class (Feagin. Maybe he's a safety, I don't know) and at least one so far (Beaver). We have zero DEs in the past two classes at a position that requires two starters. That's concerning

Keep in mind that these are the same fans who said "Pryor will be a bust, who needs him anyway?", and "Newsome will be waaay better than Pryor" just months after throwing Pryor a student-organized block party, and some pathetic scUM moron begging Rivals.com to make up a story to sabbotage OSU's chances of getting him. These people are in total denial.
